Yarrow Heights is a new School in Southampton; we are a mixed SEN day school for children aged 7-16. Our vision is to nurture our pupils’ ambitions, develop their resilience and empower their learning through an enriching curriculum and a fully supportive approach. Our values are centred on our single desire to make a positive, lifelong difference to the lives of our pupils.

Due to the planned and predicted growth of the school, we are currently seeking to increase our therapy team and are looking to recruit a Experienced mental health practitioner who is either a qualified registered mental health nurse, clinical psychologist or qualified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist to join our newly established team of therapists and pastoral workers.

You will have experience working with children who have SEN, and mental health difficulties. You will be able to demonstrate a passion for your practice and innovative working with children who have high anxiety.

Personally, you will show a caring disposition and a commitment to getting the best for our pupils. You will be energetic, reliable, and resilient with a high amount of professional integrity. Your understanding of safeguarding children, equality and diversity will be strong.

In return we can offer you:

  • A great place to work with amazing children and staff
  • A competitive salary starting from £40,000 to £45,000 per annum
  • A comprehensive Induction and CPD training programme
  • A company pension
  • Onsite parking
  • A free lunch
  • A welcoming place to work with like-minded colleagues

We are absolutely committed to safeguarding our children and our recruitment procedures are rigorous in this respect. This post will require an Enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service and, where appropriate, checks against the NCTL teacher prohibition list.

We reserve the right to close the online vacancy when we are in receipt of sufficient applications. Should you wish to apply for this post you are advised to complete and submit your application form as soon as possible.

We would be proud to give you a tour of our truly special school. Please speak to Jo our HR Manager if you would like to arrange this.
