Whilst working under the leadership and direction of a Registered Nurse, Nursing Associates support and deliver the provision of holistic, person-centred care and contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient's needs.

To succeed as a Nursing Associate, you will:

• Have successfully completed the Nursing Associate level 5 qualification such as a Foundation Degree or Level 5 Diploma of Higher Education
• Be an active Nursing and Midwifery Council registrant on the Nursing Associate register
• Be a highly motivated individual and be an active team player in a multidisciplinary and diverse team
• Enjoy working in a clinical environment that is constantly and rapidly changing
• Have recent surgical experience
• Be a professional and caring towards patients, staff and colleagues
• Have a flexible approach to both your duties and your hours
• be flexible and able work full time over a five day working week
• Have a commitment to continuing professional development
• be comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team

Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital
The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth and we have been part of the Plymouth community since 1971. We have 3 main theatres - 2 laminar flow and 1 digital, a fully JAG accredited endoscopy suite, a 35-bedded ward with one 4 bedded bay and one 2 bedded bay. Our outpatients department has 12 consulting rooms with a dedicated ophthalmology suite and ENT service.

We carry out treatment under a range of specialities including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery. We recently were rated in the top 50 hospitals in the country for our total hip replacement patient outcomes.
