Deputy Matron/Deputy Head of Clinical Services
Oxford | Management Team | Permanent Contract | Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Up to £63,000 depending on experience
As a Deputy Matron / Deputy Head of Clinical Services you will provide strong clinical leadership throughout the Hospital leading the delivery of the highest quality patient care: care that is patient-centred, evidence-based, brand-defining, and innovative. As part of the Hospital Senior Management team it will be your responsibility to support the development and implementation of local strategy and culture, championing clinical standards, and deputising for the Matron.
Key Responsibilities:
To drive a strong patient safety culture throughout the hospital
To promote effective clinical risk management
To ensure that effective local governance is in place, promoting a safe working environment throughout the hospital for patients, visitors and staff
To conduct high quality and timely incident investigations
To support the Matron as the hospital's named person for safeguarding
To champion infection prevention throughout the hospital, ensuring full compliance with evidence-based standards and best practices in surveillance and antimicrobial management
To promote and embed an ethos of patient confidentiality throughout the hospital
