As a Matron (Director of Nursing) at our [insert hospital name], you'll have a strong track record in leading and developing nursing practice. As well as a thorough understanding of evidence-based practice and the health care regulatory agenda, you're able to stabilise and re-engage teams, driving the standards of care.

 

As a Matron (Director of Nursing), you will:

  • Quickly understand the clinical challenges facing our hospital and build excellent relationships with internal customers and external bodies

  • Ensure that we provide safe and effective care through a range of surgical and medical interventions

  • Deliver effective operational management and inspirational leadership

  • Be a role model for excellent clinical governance, providing strategy and direction for our hospital

  • Champion improvements to clinical standards, care and service across wards, theatres, outpatients, pharmacy, radiology, imaging, cardiology and pathology

  • Always be approachable and accessible to patients, relatives and colleagues
