Benenden School are looking to recruit a Deputy Nurse to work within the busy school Medical Centre and in particular work with and support the Senior Nurse/Medical Centre Manager.

The position involves assisting the Senior Nurse with the administration in the Medical Centre such as making appointments, data entry on to the School computer system, ensuring the smooth running of the School Doctor’s clinics, filing and other administration tasks as directed by the Senior Nurse. You will also be expected to assist with some patient care such as assisting with admission and discharge of patients, chaperoning patients in clinics etc. You should be highly organised with excellent IT skills.

This is a full time, term time position, plus a total of three weeks over the year during the holidays on days to be arranged between yourself and the Senior Nurse. 

Benenden is one of the leading boarding schools in Britain. We were founded in 1923 and are situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 550 girls in the school, aged 11-18, with approximately 180 of those in the Sixth Form. Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace. We are an ambitious school, with recent developments including a state-of-the-art Science Centre and All-Weather Sports Pitch, and we are currently working to establish a new School Hall and Music School.

Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
