Oncology Sister / Charge Nurse

Oxford Manor Hospital | Oncology | Permanent | Full time/part time |Includes on call

Up to £45k, depending on experience

As a Sister / Charge Nurse in Oncology at Nuffield Health, Oxford Manor Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you have experience in Oncology and a SACT (systemic anti-cancer therapies) qualification or you're working towards this.

As an Oncology Sister/Charge Nurse, you will:

  • Support the Oncology Manager in the efficient running of the department
  • Be a valued addition to the team in our consultant and nurse-led service
  • Be instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised care
  • Work with patients receiving chemotherapy or new treatments, such as immunotherapy
  • Fully assess each patient's needs, providing tailored treatment plans and care
  • Administer systemic anti-cancer therapies
  • Assist consultants during clinics
  • Provide care for Acute Oncological emergencies

About our department


This post will support the Oncology patients through their cancer journey. Our Macmillan adopted unit can accommodate 10 day treatment patients. The unit treats a variety of cancers including Breast, Colorectal, Gynae, Pancreatic, Upper GI cancers and urological. You will work within a team of skilled chemotherapy nurses as well as part of a Multi-disciplinary team ensuring that our patients are treated with the best possible care.
