Lakeside View is a 32 bedded hospital in Willenhall that cares for patients who are 18 years and over in an acute setting.

Finch Ward - 12 bedded male acute ward

Robin Ward - 8 bedded male acute ward

Swan Ward - 8 bedded female acute ward

The aim at Lakeside View is to provide a person centred approach and therapeutic environment, which promotes collaborative care planning to optimise treatment goals. Right from the point of admission to our acute services, our aim is to support patients to be discharged safely back into the community where they can continue to progress towards recovery in a less restrictive environment.



Main Duties:

  • Support service users to attend and gain new experiences within their local community
  • Support and assist service users with personal care as identified in agreed plans of care
  • Act as a key-worker for a service user, with support from the RMN
  • Establish and maintain relationships with service users which will complement and contribute to the care programme and create a pleasant environment in which to live
  • Contribute to the daily running of the hospital, e.g. shopping, cleaning and involving residents to the limits of their ability in all aspects of normal daily living.
  • Accompany residents on shopping trips and outings
  • Possess the ability to diffuse/resolve stressful situations with the use of effective communication skills

Requirements

  • Education to GCSE Standard or equivalent
  • NVQ or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience of healthcare in a similar setting would be an advantage
