Senior Theatre Practitioner (Recovery)

Barts Hospital | Theatre | Permanent | Full time | Includes weekend work
Competitive Salary depending on experience
37.5 hours per week

Wherever you're currently working, Nuffield Health is where you'll excel. As the UK's largest Healthcare Charity, we can offer you a unique opportunity to feel valued, free from constraints and able to grow your career, while you're helping us offer the highest standards of care. It starts here. It starts with you.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner at our Barts Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC or HPC. You bring a passion for high standards, a meticulous eye for detail and post-registration experience. You're a focused, flexible and motivated team worker.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and you will be able to provide clinical leadership, act as a mentor and role model and lead the theatre in the absence of the Theatre lead. You will support individuals and teams to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care that is responsive to the needs of our patients. Along the way, you'll build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, your training should include a minimum of ILS, ideally ALS and/or CALS. You will have experience of recovering complex procedures across specialities including orthopaedics.

You've also got an impressive senior level knowledge and will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the theatre setting. You'll be accountable for leading, motivating, educating and supervising the nursing and multidisciplinary team. Applicants will be willing to work flexibly across different shift patterns covering a six-day service and participation in the departmental on-call rota is required.

Helping you feel good.

We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued. That's why we've developed a benefits package with you in mind. From free membership across all of our fitness clubs, to a range of lifestyle and financial wellbeing rewards. At Nuffield Health, we take care of what's important to you.
