Salary: up to £39,000 per annum, pro-rata, depending on skills and experience
Permanent | Part-time | 16 hours per week

We are looking for a Practice Nurse to join our onsite team at our corporate club for 16 hours per week. This can be flexible is terms of working days and how the hours are split across the week.

Position Purpose

The role of the Practice & Wellbeing Nurse is to deliver and manage a wide range of clinical and wellbeing services which meets the needs of our corporate clients' employees. To establish, and drive forward a series of wellbeing initiatives to reach-out to large population groups whilst providing a focus on clinical education and preventive healthcare. This post also requires the successful applicant to work very closely with other Nuffield Health colleagues including, fitness professionals, medical physicians and physiotherapists.

Key Requirements

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council

  • Practicing for at least 4 years, as a Practice Nurse.

  • To ensure the Code of Professional Conduct as laid down by the Nursing and Midwifery Council is adhered to at all times

  • To drive and promote employee wellbeing initiatives

  • Ability to carry out Nurse Consultations and, undertake appropriate interventions consistent with evidence-based practice and within own scope of practice and legislation

  • Proficient in phlebotomy/venepuncture, and travel & vaccination advice

  • Proficient in cervical smear taking.

  • Experienced in assessing and advising of minor illness and minor injury

  • Recent BLS and AED certification

  • Confident communicator with the skills to engage effectively with corporate clients and other health care professionals

  • Competent and confident IT user - intermediate skills in Word and Excel

  • Ability to prioritise and deal with a varied workload in an effective and timely manner

  • Ability to demonstrate an active continuing professional development portfolio
