About Nuffield Health North Staffs Hospital

Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital was opened in 1978 with funds raised by the local community. The hospital is now a modern, purpose-built and well-equipped private healthcare facility with 36 en suite bedrooms. It has an excellent reputation for clinical care, expertise and efficient friendly staff, rated Good by the CQC.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for an exceptional Theatre Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with drive, passion and high standards. You might join us from the NHS or a private setting. Either way, you'll discover unrivalled scope to work autonomously, make full use of your skills and knowledge and add value. This is nursing as it should be. You'll be able to grow your career and be free of the constraints that prevent you from achieving job satisfaction.

We know you thrive on the pressure and intensity of theatre work. So you'll work closely with leading consultants and other like-minded professionals, who will respect and value what you bring to the close-knit multidisciplinary team. You'll enjoy opportunities to work on a varied caseload using technology, equipment and facilities which are state-of-the-art. As well as supervising, supporting and developing junior staff, you'll deliver high quality care and experiences for patients, which is always clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.

The Person:

  • Must be a registered ODP or RGN

  • Have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience within orthopaedic scrub (majors and spines)

  • Be flexible to meet the needs of the service

  • Preferably have an SFA qualification or willing to work towards this in the first 12 months of employment

What can we offer you?

  • Family friendly hours with no weekend operating lists

  • Access to free car parking

  • A competitive pension scheme

  • Free private healthcare for you and the option to add your family to the healthcare scheme for a low cost

  • Free Nuffield Health gym access with the option to add family members at a reduced rate.

  • Excellent development opportunities with comprehensive apprenticeship programmes and academic qualifications.

  • Very close to the M6/A500

  • Competitive salary with enhancements for shift/unsociable hours worked and on call.

We value you and the expertise you will bring to Nuffield Health and the Charity and so we would love to welcome you with our Golden Hello bonus of up to £3,000 (dependent on skills and experience) as part of your employment here with us.
