Competitive salary, depending on experience

Wherever you're currently working, Nuffield Health is where you'll excel. As the UK's largest Healthcare Charity, we can offer you a unique opportunity to feel valued, free from constraints and able to grow your career, while you're helping us offer the highest standards of care. It starts here. It starts with you.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will...

...work as part of a multidisciplinary team and you will be able to provide clinical leadership, act as a mentor and role model and lead the theatre in the absence of the Theatre lead. You will support individuals and teams to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care that is responsive to the needs of our patients. Along the way, you'll build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients.

  • You will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council

  • Your training should include a minimum of ILS

  • Ideally ALS and/or CALS

  • You will have experience of managing complex procedures across specialities

  • You've also got an impressive senior level knowledge and will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the theatre setting

  • You'll be accountable for leading, motivating, educating and supervising the nursing and multidisciplinary team

  • Applicants will be willing to work flexibly across different shift patterns covering a six-day service and participation in the departmental on-call rota is required.

Helping you feel good.

We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy and valued. That's why we've developed a benefits package with you in mind. From Holiday in line with the Working Time Directive, Access to our Pension Scheme and discounted gym membership at £15.00 a month.

Nuffield Health Barts Hospital

In early 2022, we'll open the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. This will be our flagship centre for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services. As this is a new establishment, there is more than one position available.

The new hospital will consist of:

  • 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms

  • 28 consultation rooms

  • Three digital operating theatres

  • Cardiac catheterisation lab

  • Specialist intensive care beds
