As a Senior Sister at our Taunton Hospital, you'll be registered with the appropriate governing body and have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. Your post-registration experience includes surgical nursing. Ideally, you also have a mentorship qualification and an active interest in Infection Prevention.

As a Senior Sister, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of our department
  • Lead a team of highly qualified nurses
  • Be responsible for direct patient care
  • Lead and promote clinical effectiveness and governance
  • Work directly with consultants who are experts in their field
  • Flourish in an enviable hospital environment
  • Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training
