Core hours: 08:30-18:30, Monday to Friday

Your impact at Medicspot We are looking for forward-thinking Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join our full-service NHS GP Practices in Coventry and Peckham and be responsible for making autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients. As a Medicspotter, you will be empowered to get involved, grow with the service, and work collaboratively with clinical, marketing and product teams towards delivering a new generation of innovative and value-based care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis
- Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols, and within scope of practice
- To order, interpret and act upon medical investigations and expedite access to appropriate medical staff e.g. Consultant
- Be the first point of contact for clinical queries from Care Navigators and support staff
- To work with members of the multidisciplinary team to promote high clinical standards within Primary Care
- To practice and promote effective workload management and efficient/effective use of resources within Primary care
- Lead changes to deliver the best possible health outcomes for our patients
- Fulfil the 4 pillars of advanced clinical practice: Clinical Practice, Facilitating Learning, Leadership, and Evidence, Research and Development
- To be professionally and legally accountable and responsible for all aspects of professional practice including the management of patients in your care
What are we looking for? Qualifications/registration:
- Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent
- Independent and Supplementary Non-medical Prescribing (V300)
- Active professional registration
- Meet the relevant revalidation requirements (depending on discipline)
Experience/skills:
- Experience working independently as an autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner in primary care or other related service
- Experience of working for a GP Practice
- Thorough understanding of clinical care pathways
- Involvement in research and/or audit activity to support service development
- Ability to communicate complex and sensitive issues with compassion and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling engagement with people of all backgrounds
- Confident using information technology and patient record systems in the workplace, e.g. Microsoft Office, G Suite, Emis, Accurx
- The ability to interpret data correctly to inform decision making and problem solving
- Knowledge and commitment to patient safety and clinical governance
- Salary £45-55k per annum (depending on experience and location) (+£2,000 London weighting for London based practices)
