Northern Health Care provides mental health recovery services across many regions within the UK. Our services consist of support living and community outreach services which provide our residents and service users with access to 24-hour support from experienced clinical and support staff.

 Main duties of the job

  • The post holder will work closely with the clinical teams and the Clinical Development Director in the continued development and delivery of newly supported living sites across Northern Healthcare for adults with a learning disability. 
  • They will also provide day to day clinical support and advice to the clinical and operational teams across Northern Healthcare as required.
  • The post holder will participate in review of clinical policies and guidelines relevant to this area and implement changes to practice; liaise with other organisations and professionals to promote communication and good practice.
  • The post holder will provide specialist nursing input into planning, development, and evaluation of new learning disability sites within NHC, holding responsibility for defined projects as delegated by the Clinical Development Director.
  • As an autonomous practitioner the post holder will be responsible for and manage a highly complex caseload, including planning and implementing appropriate clinical interventions based on the referral evaluation, assessment, diagnoses, treatment and monitoring of individuals identified needs for adults with a learning disability.
  • The post holder will work to organisational, professional, and regulatory body codes, standards and guidance always ensuring that their practice is grounded in evidence-based theoretical and practical knowledge. and addressed.

Your key attributes

  • Must have the right to work in the UK. Our values – are positive, respectful, open and honest, understanding and dedicated. Be qualified as an RNLD and have a valid registration by the NMC; have working application. Experience in project management and change strategies. Knowledge of legal, ethical principles and current best practice in learning disability care provision.

Where you’ll be working

You will be expected to travel to our sites within the north-west, Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Midlands.

Working Hours

The role is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week working flexibly.
