We are looking for a Theatre Healthcare Assistant to work as part of a multidisciplinary team at Private Care Guys.

Location: Private Care Guys, Guy's Cancer Centre, Great Maze Pond, London, SE1 9RT.

Contract Type: Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours

Shift Days; Monday to Saturday.

Shift Patterns: Early or Late.

Salary range: £25,428 - £28,254 + allowances.

You will be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance and will participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement and maintain the agreed standards of care. Further assisting with both patient and non-patient manual handling, cleaning duties and waste disposal, transportation and reporting of equipment, re-stocking and ensuring the department is tidy.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant, ideally within Theatres.
  • BTEC Diploma, Health and Social Care Level 2 
  • Be comfortable with a physical role which involves pushing beds and lifting heavy equipment.
  • Experience of working in a hospital environment
  • Excellent customer care skills 
  • Good time management skills 
  • Ability to work well as a team with staff at all levels 
  • Be comfortable doing a role which is 50:50 split between HCA duties and Portering duties.
