Priory Hospital Bristol are recruiting for a Senior Staff nurse ( RMN / RNLD ) to join their high dependency rehab ward team.

Priory Hospital Bristol is part of the Healthcare Division of Priory Group and has 77 beds over eight wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care, Huntingdon's and Dementia.


Hillside is a 14 bed, mixed gender ward. It is a high dependency rehabilitation and recovery service with a focus on specialist Huntington's and dementia care. The environment is equipped to take patients who are in a wheelchair. Our nurses are trained in PEG feeding, wound care and catheterisation.


We aim to move patients on from the ward and reintegrate them back into the community as appropriate. Usually the time frame is 3 months to 2 years. As such, we work on discharge planning early on in admission along with the community team.


The role includes leading the delivery of a comprehensive Patient/Service User nursing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person centred care in a collaborative way of both their mental and physical healthcare needs, maintaining the Patient/Service Users rights. Supervising Junior Staff and students. Working collaboratively with the MDT and maintaining a safe and therapeutic working environment, keeping accurate records.


As the senior staff nurse on the unit you will take lead on the clinic management.
