About the role:
Wilson Memorial Hospital in Murrurundi is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with the ability to work as the sole RN in charge of the Emergency Department and small subacute general ward. We have a fair and equitable roster and our successful applicant's shifts will be rotating shifts working closely with an Enrolled Nurse (EN). Your responsibilities will also include assisting and maintaining clinical audits.

Murrurundi has a close knit team that works cohesively together. We are supported by a Clinical Nurse Educator onsite and also have support via telehealth portals. You will be supported by the Health Service Manager and the rest of the nursing team. We have a close team of HealthShare staff as well onsite. Education and training is encouraged and also have the ability to gain further education via telehealth. Within our sector, there can also be opportunity given to work at other hospitals if required. Allowances may be available for eligible candidates, including accommodation and meal allowances.

Where you'll be working:
Murrurundi is a small team with a very good team spirit, where shifts consist of 1 Registered Nurse and 1 Enrolled Nurse. You will work as the sole RN and be in charge of the Emergency Department and the small subacute general ward. Murrurundi is situated in the Upper Hunter Valley of NSW. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and valleys. Murrurundi is renowned for beautiful art galleries and its close community feel. Murrurundi is situated a 1 hour drive from Tamworth on the New England Highway and is an easy 3 hour drive to Newcastle.

You are a highly motivated Registered Nurse and a good team player who is willing to support and assist our ENs. You are willing to adjust when the need arises and willing to share your knowledge to support others. You will also be willing and capable of working as the sole Registered Nurse and have outstanding communication skills. All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
