Job Details
We have a clear vision - to be trusted as the best urgent and emergency care provider, with the best people and partnerships, delivering the best outcomes for patients.
These exciting new Consultant Practitioner roles have been introduced as part of our ambitious plans to strengthen clinical leadership in our services, including developing specialist and advanced practice in the Trust.
They will be instrumental in our clinical engagement with health and social care system partners in the delivery of integrated care and play a key part in influencing the clinical direction of our organisation.
The successful candidates will have a strong clinical background within the field of pre-hospital urgent and emergency care.
They will be highly experienced clinicians, from a paramedic or nursing background, with well-developed leadership skills and a strong track record of collaborative working to drive improvements in patient care.
Each role will correspond to one of the three Integrated Care System (ICS) geographical areas covering the Yorkshire area - Humber and North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire.
Main duties of the job:
The postholders will be key players in our wider area leadership teams and senior representatives of the Trust in clinical networks in their respective ICS areas, working across teams to influence clinical strategy and the development of patient care.
The postholders will work within a matrix structure, playing a key part in leading, influencing and delivering the clinical direction for the organisation. The work will be primarily within the defined area of an Integrated Care System footprint but the three posts will also contribute significantly to clinical leadership across the Trust.
The positions have four key areas of focus:
- expert clinical practice professional clinical leadership and collaborative practice education and development research, evaluation and quality improvement
A job plan will be agreed with the successful postholders, reflecting these domains and their individual experience and strengths.
