Senior Technician/ Healthcare Assistant

Contract - Permanent, Full-time

Hours – 37.5 hours

Salary – £25,428.00 pa - £29,667.00 pa (Depending on skills & experience) + Benefits

Location – The Princess Grace Hospital

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated healthcare assistant to join our dynamic and skilled team at our JAG accredited endoscopy unit at Princess Grace Hospital. The Endoscopy Department supports the delivery of complex gastrointestinal (GI) and respiratory medicine. Its role is vital in the ability to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases from oesophageal cancer to acid reflux, and from bowel cancer to Barrett’s Oesophagus.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To assist clinical staff in providing nursing care of the highest quality to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures as and when required pre, during and post procedure.
  • To assist in the decontamination rooms washing, processing and vacuum packing endoscopes.
  • To assist clerical staff with preparing and filing of patient notes.
  • To assist in materials management – ordering stock.

Qualifications

  • Decontamination experience or qualification (Desirable)
  • Care Certificate or NVQ equivalent
  • Diploma of Health & Social Care 3
